The years 2001- 2003 represent a period of discovery of form and language in the abstract. I was, after finishing school, completely free. Why am I painting again? What do I have to say and explore? I found that I couldn’t do that in figuration. But how do I make a painting when I don’t have something in front of me to paint after? So what impulses do I follow?
